Mary Kate Shepard Dumont grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast on the water in the town of Gautier. She was inspired from an early age by her Connecticut born artistically talented mother, Jane Avery Shepard, who crafted beautiful handmade, one-of-a-kind, porcelain dolls named Mary Kate Dolls.
Mary Kate's interest in voice and dance led her to professional ballroom dancing, designing and producing all of her and her partner's costumes. She later designed and manufactured a popular line of colorful ceramic dinnerware and accessories as M Kate Originals.
She has now put her creative talents to work to bring to you a most wondrous store, full of treasures gathered from around the world.
